[workshop]
October 4, 11:30-2pm
Whipley Manor Farm, Surrey
11:30-2pm
£35

This workshop will aim to reinforce the importance of self-responsibility within a yoga practice, and the ability listen – inwards and outwards. We will look at basic physical and energetic alignment principles to better self-adjust. There will be a time for reflection – about relationship between student and teacher, about the yoga practice and one’s self. These concepts will be held by an overarching focus of integrating intention into a physical practice, to widen the lens on alignment as a whole, rather simply referring to our physicality. This workshop will be a Jivamukti workshop in nature, meaning that there will be philosophy imbued throughout the entirety of the morning, chanting, rigorous asana as well as pranayama and meditation.

[webinar] October 15th
4-5:00pm Embodiment Conference

This session examines the shared ground between bodywork and movement practices that enable a deep understanding of one’s physical space as we move through time. We will investigate the dialogue between explorative movement and the effort of skilful precision that leads to a increased awareness, strength, adaptability, ease and integration.

Part experiential, part lecture, the frames of Rolfing and yoga will be used as entry points to creating common understanding of universal, but not necessarily obvious, embodiment principles across healing modalities.

Orienting to Uncertainty
We are living in strange times. With limited venues from which to teach and uncertainty about whether or not they will stay open or succeed as a business, it is easy for independent teachers to feel confused, frustrated, even insecure about how to carry on. This 45 minute webinar will unpack the challenges of establishing, or re-establishing yourself as a yoga or movement teacher during the time of Covid. The goal will be to allow a space for both new, and seasoned teachers to get back to basics in clarifying audience, expectations and unique offering whether teaching online, or in person.
